Home to several art galleries and shops the 6oo block of Julia Street in the New Orleans Warehouse District seems to be a perfect fit for the area. Shops on the ground floor and businesses above. Its a very stylish building which I know little about but see it all the time. Guess I need to go ask.
New Orleans Marbles on Diamond Street, Once the St. Mary’s Market!

On the site of the long gone St. Mary’s market on Diamond Street sits the giant marbles of New Orleans. The park fills the neutral ground of Diamond Street for four blocks, from the Convention Center to Tchoupitoulas Street. The five Balls is a sculpture by Terry Weldon called ” Riverstones ” . Its a green space in downtown New Orleans better known as the Warehouse District.

The New Orleans Warehouse District is always changing. The old buildings are constantly being converted to real estate of better use. This one looks like its getting ready for a new life as something else. Besides condos it could easily be commercial space for offices, retail, and whatever! I wonder what this building will become!!

The New Orleans Warehouse District is often a center of activity. This night it was very quiet. It was either late or everyone was at home. The Warehouse District is full of hotels, restaurants, bars, condos, apartments, museums, conventions, a casino, art galleries, offices, Super Dome, New Orleans Arena and various entertainment venues. There are a lot of things to do. It is a vibrant and growing neighborhood in the center of New Orleans.
